This is a repost from when I first came here to Passions. I was going to write something else, but I decided to repost this one. I think (??) I've improved a little in my writing since then, but I still feel the same way as I did when I wrote this, only more so and to a greater extent. I truly appreciate all of you and your kindnesses,  understanding and compassion all of you have shown to me. Again, I sincerely, from the bottom of my heart, say thank you!!!!

my new FAMILY  OF
FRIENDS....
The joy
I'm receiving
just has no end

You all
are so sweet,
compassionate
and kind....
Some of
the greatest people
that anyone could find

You write of your
hurt, of your joy
and your wonder....
Some of your
secrets even slip
out for others to ponder

Poets write
of the seasons,
the stars and
the moon....
In some they paint
pictures with words
and in some sing a
sweet tune

When a new
person appears on
this site....
You all welcome
him or her with
such delight

You all are
so patient when
the new ones make
mistakes....
You very gently help
each other along
with the words it
may take

So I thank
you one and all
for helping me
along....
Maybe one day
I can write all of
you a song

I love you
all and thank you
for your welcomes
to me....
My new FAMILY  OF
FRIENDS, I hope a
long time to see

Oh, I also added another font and color to the poem, like one of my dear friends here, Nancy Lee...Enchantress, taught me to do. You all have helped me in so many ways!! I love all you guys...sincerely and truly, I do. Well, I didn't mean to get weepy and so sentimental, but I just can't seem to help it.

(does happy dance) Oh Ethel, I am so happy you re-posted this, sweet friend, I remember the day you first joined Passions and how excited I was when you posted you second poem, knowing you loved this place and would stay, wishing so many others who joined could stay! (big hugggsssssss) You will always be a true friend to me, I do believe your writing keeps improving as I too always like to go back and revise old poems (keep the original draft of course!
