There was a time when I believed,
and reality was a thing conceived.
Layed before me a future bright,
hidden from me any hint of night.

Then the bastards stripped me of hope,
they beat me and tortured my soul,
feeding me a steady diet of lies,
cutting me off they left me to die.

Now I sit here scarred and twisted,
trail of blood revealing my every turn,
Once a band aid covered my slightest bruise,
now I'm left to rot and burn.

hey,that was strong writing but it should use a lie/die rhyme not lies and die and it will be more in rhythm....xXx

I felt this one...reliving that chapter in my own life.

A band aid?  No, you need strong medicine, my friend.  Where is your angel? She may be the prescription you need to heal your soul.

And if she is not there...remember, there are many angels of this world.

True, very true. I wasn't even trying to rhyme with this, did with some lines by accident though...I shall try to repair the lines. And thank you for the help!
