Can you hear it ?
Hear that sound
The one that consumes
Me all around

The sound of silence
Engulfing me
No noise I hear
I never have
Vibrations felt
All through my hands

Treat me different
Please do not
For I can see
And I can touch

I have a gift
It came from god
I was given life
For me to live

I do my best
The best I can
With what I have
Not what I lack

So when you see me
Look within
Inside of me
The same I am

I do my best

Not what I lack

That verse speaks to me and could very well stand alone~
*enjoyed*

(sigh) And I truly wish for many others to get to see exactly how you want to be seen as we love you for who you are and nothing more and nothing less! (big hugggssssss) God Bless You, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Julie, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

I wonder sometimes if natural silence would be better than being able to hear. There are things I would miss either way. Love this.

Love is patient, indeed. It endures the distance when it seems we cannot endure it ourselves.

Very beautiful and touching. You see in the silence you found beauty. It radiates through you and it is noticed.... and you vibrate in love.

Thank you, Julie - I'm sending this link to my sister, who has a profoundly deaf son.  He's surely one for making the best of every moment of his life - and I know she'll love your verse...

How true it is...look inside,  you will find
a treasure...  Kinda like look inside this
poem,  where you find one as well...

Silence never sounded as beautiful as it does here.  Thank you...I shall never hear silence the same way again.

So touching...
