Motes

Motes of grace lace my seeming
Beaming memories of dreaming
Dance the edge of my awake
Like candles on a birthday cake.

And there I sit a king arcane
Delighted with this wile of reign
Sighting all the lovely flowers
Plying them for all their powers.

Alive with odors sweet as myrrh
Stirred with colors fleet of blur
Echoing a golden sky
Painting me a butterfly.

If, there is a thing such as soul
This would be my ending goal
I could not make a better prime
Then staying here eternals time

So do not wake me, this harem
I could not have a better dream.

There he naps on his poets throne ...
a wisdom's crown, his words written on golden stone.
Tis there he seams his rhyme scheme dreams ...
cadenced themes we hold in the highest esteem.

Sleeping beside him -- his partner in crime and rhyme ...
a dragon of kind, a friend in find, a muse for all time.

Sy,

Sorry to highlight the simplest of your lines, however, like candles on a birthday cake... yes, yes yes....

Love this poem. It is uplifting, a great read..

(sigh) Who could blame you, I hate to awaken from the slumber within dreams too, it's like a refuge I'm never ashamed to visit! (big hugggssssssss) Dream on, dearest friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Seymour, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!
