~*~ My life's not been easy, I've been tested; I've been tried, But through the tribulations, The painful sorrows I did hide. My sunny disposition, Comes from strength not to succumb, To the arrows of misfortune That pierce my heart when they are slung. My life's been marked by tragedies, Losses beyond what I could bear, But somewhere deep inside of me, I've found the courage there. My body has been ravaged And my spirit near left me, But I claimed my life and power, Now I'm healthy, strong and free! My path's been strewn with roadblocks, Miles high they seemed to be, But I blasted them, one by one, As I marched to victory. No matter what may come my way, Or what battles to be fought, I'll face them with a faithful heart, And give them my best shot! ~*~ [This message has been edited by Earth Angel (05-15-2003 03:21 PM).] |

I have tasted the tears & fallen sooo many times its a wonder my knees aren't shattered but I too have always gotten up with a smile because I was able to get back up so yes I too was able to relate well & I appreciate the write I needed reminded time to get back up again |

Fortunately, the harder our path in life, the more suited we are to cope with the adversity and misfortune that inevitably lies ahead... As well, it also lends to a greater appreciation, of the more peaceful and tranquil moments in our lives, providing more potential, for content and happiness... Earth Angel, this was wonderful, you could attach this to many of us and be at least 90% correct, I know it is with me. It is amazing how we keep going at times, there is definatly something within that gives us the strength and the courage to go on.
