When I was Mr. Pure, you threw me out the door. When I was Mr. Keen, you locked it and the screen. When I was Mr. Done, you handed me the gun. Fully loaded, it imploded. Then I was on the run. When I was Mr. Small, you walked around so tall. And when I was Mr. Big, you tried to break me like a twig. When I was Mr. Something, who wanted to give you everything. You walked down the aisle with somebody new, while I grimaced in the pew. With my card and my flowers, and the ring. So now I'm Mr. I accept. Alone, not waiting or being kept. By all those self-induced demands. Designed so I could kiss your hands and kiss your eyes and touch your hair. And this is me. Not waiting there. |

I didn't want to pass up the opportunity to let you know I read this but I can't think of anything clever to say..but I can see where you are coming from..I think we all can, we are so many things and it seems like its never good enough untill its good enough for us but always seems like it would really make a difference...does that even make sense!? If at first you don't succeed destroy all the evidence that you tried. |

To Ceinwyn. The poem is sort of a metaphor for the way life has treated some and not really an actual rejection at the alter. It describes the alter of certain lives and how the system will push people over the edge when they are down. |
