Collector I am a collector of sorts Categorizing the pleasures of my heart Into a kaleidoscope of passion Selecting my vices upon a whim Trapping that which tempts my soul With hands made to touch The invisible background of ecstasy; Languidly I revel in my imagination, Avidly I reminisce the hunt… I walk as if a kin to time Absorbing myself into lust With a insatiable indifference; Yes, I am a collector, Selecting shades from caramel to chocolate Butterscotch to molasses Slim built to heavenly blessed Touched with sexiness Or blessed with humbleness Braids to the ground Or natural as the Mother land A kiss that stings like death Or a taste sweeter than honey All have tickled my palate And quenched a temporary thirst I am a collector of beautiful things I store these gifts as memories Pieces that form a complete thought And I do it with a passion That some would call womanizing But I would disagree only to agree That sometimes I know not what I do For I am but a man A stealer of souls And granter of dreams A victim unto myself A lover to the blind A comforter of the lonely That last ray of sunshine Before darkness swallows your heart. Very interesting piece here. Just one question, if this person is a womanizer as stated how can he be a comforter of the lonely? It isn't it the womanizers who create the lonely? Thanks for the read. Marilyn |
