The Only Fool Was Me Perhaps no longer useful Had he discarded me Taken all he needed Thats how it seems to be Hanging by heartstrings He pulls occassionally Flirts around the mind Takes a little more of me There whenever needed I was deserving more I had become the fool Whose heart would soar Circumstances depends On the weak and strong All I had ever wanted Was to feel that I belong Feelings I cannot let go I attached emotionally Heartstrings are played I am reminded constantly There with his sweet talk I surrendered so easily Hoping he felt the same But the only fool was me Hope ©2003 |
