Phantom Ride The silence of summer night surrounds me bringing with it the promise of magic A soft evening breeze filling my nostrils with heady scent of earth, tree and sky Standing in the trees beneath starlit sky I gaze in awe at diamond filled heavens A gasp and I catch my breath at beauty so brilliant it lights the world around me Upon a falling star my vision rests as I’m inspired to breathe a silent wish For a man who’s filled with all the passion of this dream vision night to come to me Within moments a sound that startles me filling the silent velvet of the night Skipping a heart beat I take a deep breath and turn toward the sound growing closer Out of darkness towards me rides a man whose countenance is bathed in soft moonlight Passion and desire shine from blazing eyes that tell he’s the one to fulfill this tale With gentle strength he lifts me before him and holding me against his heart we ride My heart beats with his as heat fills my veins grateful for magic of a phantom ride Startime |
