Shallow Water

so much
is held from me
far
from my reach
I have known
such bitter
that I recognize
the taste of sweet
it’s not so much
I’ve seen you smile
I have seen you cry
and tears that rolled
upon my skin
each pore
took a drink

What a beautiful expression of the wish....

You are truly a master of miniatures, each individual word so full of meaning and emotion.

As is to be expected from a heart as tender as yours. Aw the value of a friend. To be soaked up by you...

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.
