lining up my marbles on a crack in the pavement no chance of a straight line playing second fiddle to a memorial planting landmines in the garden waiting on the sun to work the blossoms free somewhere in between my mind wanders onto the diagram of our future and in this noontime light I see all the flaws and fatalities that Ive tried to cover with flowerbeds and fortune cookies I lie back and ponder the responsibilities that are being piled in the shadows by the one I dare to love and wonder what its all about innocence is sometimes a byproduct of our imagination engineered by a tender smile and a play on words, a play on light, that distorts the facts and findings of the questions we ask before investing our souls into that idiot savant we call love [This message has been edited by Drexler_McStyles (05-07-2003 04:42 PM).] |
