Walked away from the beach, shell in hand the one you tossed aside "Nothing of value here" you proclaimed, "I'll look on it no more" No pearl, true enough I'd skip it 'cross the surf for less but it touched Your hand Endured Your gaze and I couldn't help but wonder how you'd not seen beauty there dismissed its work out of hand Could you not hear the groans of birth? Were they invisible, like lustrous concretions evolving between sheltering lids of stone forming concentric layers of nacre, bone? From mother-of-pearl it fed but forced opened early, you said "It's finished" I polished bright the shell you tossed and saw a reflection in what was lost I wish you could see brilliant and true circles of me endlessly bound by circles of you Rf |

lovely...a very different poem concerning a sea shell. I think this is the first time I've read your work. I'll be looking for more. You could hurt me with your bare hands. You could hurt me using the sharp edge of what you say. JEWEL |

yes... I wish I had written this... you touch on a number of things in this and I can draw a number more from my own life... thanks for sharing it... I think I needed to read it. |

Why are we so blind? We can't see the beauty in the past, present, or what is to yet to be. I wish you could see brilliant and true circles of me endlessly bound by circles of you But you do see. And perhaps someday she will as well. Robert, this is superior writing here. I loved following you on your journey of great wisdom. -Patricia |

'I'd skip it 'cross the surf for less but it touched Your hand Endured Your gaze and I couldn't help but wonder how you'd not seen beauty there dismissed its work out of hand' I'm becoming quite a fan, Robert. This brought to mind something I have repeated to myself on a few occasions, that is...to believe someone when they 'show' you who they are. It can surely save heartache later. |

This piece was spellbinding, and took my breath away in what it revealed ... love. A keeper here. |

Deeply insightful, warm and wandering the questions that disturb the heart at rest. Excellent. TD |

As long as we keep love polished it shines from within the circle and glows. Wonderfully descriptive the way you depict the passages through time, marked by the simple beauty of a seashell. Bravo, Sir~ |
