I'll tell you something in a foreign tongue De los ojos de un mujer Espana Of the Spanish eyes of a woman In a dream When I was young She would dance naked in subtle breath And ribboned grace With desperate tears for the love we'd never taste. Then waking, I'd find the world somehow colder 'Cause in my sleeping comfort, Dreaming, I'd die each time I held her And I'd paint the hours Blue in every wasted waking moment As a slave to something far away Imprisoned in an unreal woman's torment Because the power of a woman's love Means more than the strength I'm made of. |

I'd die each time I held her And I'd paint the hours Blue in every wasted waking moment As a slave to something far away These lines literally ache and are so poignant. I too have experienced a loss such as this and it feels at first like a part of you had died with them. I really enjoyed this and it sure caught the emotions.

(big hugggssssss) Oh Joe, I know this inexplicable feeling all too well, sweet friend, I have never yet felt true love but I always see my loves eyes in my dreams and they are beautiful Spanish or Arabic eyes that seem to have a flame I couldn't imagine living without! (sigh) I send healing hugs your way and may those eyes again stare deep into yours, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Joe, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton Underneath your clothes, there's an endless story |

Joe, a most unusual read, made even more mysterious by your attendant comment. It now sounds as if you might have known this woman "from afar" and loved her very much. It also gives light to this woman perhaps being older than you had been when you knew her, and you later "lost" her in some fashion. By the way you phrase yourself, I wonder if it was through death, and not just geography. An interesting write. You leave much to the imagination, something I admire in a poet. Thank you... |

I'm glad someone feels me. It's hard to express yourself sometimes. You people make it worth the effort. Thanks. |
