Sleeping Lions No Longer Can Lie Relations promised to last, To surpass the test of time, Torn apart by a single man, Who can not see past his own mind. Letting out a single word, 'Attack,' he calls for now, 'For the good of the whole world.' Not a drop of sweat from his brow Falls in guilt of the lives he's ruined. Families torn apart, Smashed into edges and points, No sign of a caring heart. Sirens dare all who wish to leave The prisons within our own homes. Spirits sink low and laughter dies fast, As monsters continue to roam The land, searching to kill. No mercy to those who defy The orders shot out out with bullets. Sleeping lions no longer can lie As old news resurfaces. Old promises break. Revenge becomes focus As lives they still take. International relations Formed over the seas, Are killed with 'attacks On a scale never seen.' Kill me tonight and I will love again |

Thank you Zaynab, for this perspective... It is always so unfortunate when any situation leads to the horror of violence. Unfortunately as many beautiful and peaceful things that our world beholds, there are just as many that are vile and oppressive... The price of freedom has, is, and always will be very, very costly... It’s just too bad, for some, especially for those who pay the brunt of the toll... It comes at such a high expense... At this point in time, we can only hope that those affected so tragically now, find promise and hope, in their not too distant future... Take Care, Richy [This message has been edited by Richy (05-07-2003 07:39 PM).] |
