A Thought I’ve heard the birds sing this morn At the very turn of dawn Chattering just where to go To catch a worm a seed in blow To start the gossip of the day Who did what and flew away Why was so and so not there Did she really, dear, oh dear. And as they search the ground in cheer Eyes are watching very near For breakfast prime is hungers time And is the time for major crime. It is a thing that bothers me That life eats life so strange to see It goes against my over soul And ethics of my self-control Barbaric is the only rhyme Barbaric are the sands of time. |

Seymour Tabin, without thought where would our writing be?, I enjoyed this piece, nature and survival, the writer and the question. Take care. Sincerely Rick |

Oh my Sy...You have the deepest thoughts so early in the morn. Loved this rhyme of nature. Tea's on...I'll pour you one. ~Morning hugs, Nancy~ ~Somewhere in my heart I'm always dancing with you in the summer rain~ [This message has been edited by Enchantress (05-05-2003 08:43 AM).] |

Whoever first said, a penny for your thoughts, clearly had never read one of your poetic gems. |

I see when sought your taut of thought and the rhyme therein it wrought, then it brought forth that which is sought the inner self, which sees a lot... for in your simple good morning rhyme stands the test of line and time for as the bird wrests forth the worm we see ourselves, and thus, we squirm... but this is what you do, you see... you bring the real to poetry... Seymour - the circle of life is all it is. Yet, I worry about God's wee ones. To them it is just another day.....one day at a time making the best of each....as we all should. Blueberry muffins await you dear poet. hugs, Chris ![]() "Hope" is the thing with feathers- |

Chattering just where to go To catch a worm a seed in blow To start the gossip of the day Who did what and flew away =============================== Your poetry, regardless of the topic or theme, never ceases to put a smile on me mothy face...its right as rain and sweet as the sunshine, that I begin each morn with your verse of rhymes and wisdom wrapped in couplets of cool. What better way to start me day than a Sy-sigh and winkie smile. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

It is a thing that bothers me That life eats life so strange to see It goes against my over soul And ethics of my self-control Barbaric is the only rhyme Barbaric are the sands of time. I do not understand this either. But the Nature and Animal Planet TV channels tells me it is survival of the fittest. Still doesn't seem like a good 'thought' though. I'm going out to feed the birds their store bought seeds so they're not eating my worms that aerate my garden so my beautiful flowers and grass can grow. ![]() Hugs this fine day and thank you for this poem. Definitely a 'food for thought'. Yet... Life eats life... thus begets new breath. Yet life takes life... 'tis none but death. Enjoyed. CG |

Hellooo! Greetings and salutations! A thought of yours is worth a thousand of anybody else's! I thought that this particular thought of yours, was exceptionally well-expressed! I love the way your mind works and how you are able to blend your poetic blood with the ink of your pen. Angel hugs & kisses, EA [This message has been edited by Earth Angel (05-05-2003 12:30 PM).] |
