Your My Everything Your my favorite song I know the melody by heart Your the book that makes me laugh and cry at different parts Your the sound that captivates me every time you speak Your exquisite beauty carries splendor and mystique Your the sparkle in my eye that shimmers in the night Your the sunshine in my life that keeps my vision bright Without you I never would have come out from the dark Or learned to be spontaneous and do things on a lark Your my balance in a world that teeters on a wire Your the nourishment that fills my hunger and desire Your the one I grab onto when life’s out of control Your the one I want with me when I turn gray and old With out you, my life would lack true substance and ideals A ship out in the darkness lost without a steering wheel Your the soothing calm I lean on when I’ve had enough Your the wisdom that can guide me when the winds get rough Your my favorite sweater that has always kept me warm Your the jacket that protects me from the fiercest storm Your the smell of cookies baking drifting through the air Your the feel of silk as you caress me with your hair Without you, I could not have seen rainbows in the sky I never would have heard the music that make lovers cry Your angelic nursing healed the scars deep in my heart Your the one who said a family is what we should start Your the one who never left and stayed here, by my side Your the one who holds the key to all my love inside Without you, I could not feel the passion true love brings Without you, I don’t exist You are my everything [This message has been edited by Richy (05-03-2003 05:12 PM).] |
