.
One violin ordains us
plaintive clarion,
libido's dog whistle

tangential first notes
elegante` and gypsy
convene

what was pista*
now an eddy over
which our eyes meet

from my end of this
unbreakable string
a subtle nod

you move towards the
vortex which already
devours
concern, reserve

our tango,
strangers dance
of the living
and dying

sultry swirls,
unfaltering footfalls,
pre-matrix where
1+1 forever equals...
one

desire,
now a silent
dance

our abrazo* encompasses
all life, enganche*,
its feast

you adorn my march
and I am pliant to
beautiful desperation

four heartless beats
punctuate finality,
the whirlpool's
abrupt ebb

this fleeting, wordless
affair now knows famine

three minutes of
unnamed love/lust
go the way
of all life

*pista-----dance floor
*abrazo----embrace
*enganche--hooking, coupling occurs when partner
           wraps legs around other's leg

Ah... very tastefully written, Wells... the shortness of your stanzas and lines had my eyes absolutely dancing from the left to the right to the diagonal left, which I found fitting for appreciating the theme of your poem.  I especially like your imaginative descriptions...

Very well done, I'd expect no less from you...

I watch
Scent of a Woman
just to view
the dance...

this...
I'll get to view
more often
than the
movie...

Richard this was kind of different from you and really refreshing.  I have to agree with Bryan the format you presented this in actually kept my mind in sort of a tempo with your poetry. Thank you as usual for the vocabulary lesson Well done Sir Poet.
