I finally found the muse to rewrite my very first Pantoum, written for the Workshop back in '99.

It was such a sweet caress
On that weary dreary day,
While I cried for bonnie lass,
Solemn grief ate me away.

On that weary dreary day
Death came passing by my door,
Solemn grief ate me away,
Broke my heart forever more.

Death came passing by my door
And looked at my soppy eyes,
Broke my heart forever more;
My sweet bonnie lass just died.

She looked at my soppy eyes
And felt sorry in a way,
My sweet bonnie lass just died,
Death said "it's your lucky day."

She felt sorry in a way,
- Her kiss cold yet sweet to me -
Death said: 'it's your lucky day,
Your sweet bonnie lass you'll see."

Her kiss cold yet sweet to me,
While I cried for bonnie lass,
"Your sweet bonnie lass you'll see,"
Death was such a sweet caress.

Munda, it's good to see your name on the blue pages again.  I've always been a fan of your villanelles and pantoums, and this is a testament to the fact that you have talent!

An excellent write, you really blow me away and I know that these are difficult to master, and you've mastered it all the way (especially when english is only your second language! I applaud you

Take care,
Melissa~

Munda,
read this before and glad to come across it again...and i think this time round i appreciate more the hard work that must have gone into creating this piece as i am more humbled regarding the process of writing poetry...
