Sunday Girl

My Sunday girl called me up
all worried today.
Seems I forgot to call her
about this coming Sunday
so she called me to
confirm our special day.
Honey, of course I want
to spend Sunday with you.
Sorry I forgot to call.
But Sunday wouldn't be
as fun without you
so on Sunday
here's what we'll do.
First we'll go for a swim.
I know that's your favorite pastime.
Then we'll have have some of
that delicious Sushi again.
Wasn't it good last time?
Later we'll fit a
romantic movie in.
During which we'll share as
many hugs and kisses we can.
Continue to have no fear.
For I am yours my dear.
I'm your Sunday man.

For some reason this reminded me of those days of the week panties--and how Sunday's were always white. (Has nothing to do with your poem, I'm just weird like that.)

A fabulous reminder that a girl wants to be "asked" rather than have the date assumed, no matter the "Sunday Girl/Sunday Man" titles.
