"And the seasons they go round and round
And the painted ponies go up and down"

I miss the innocents of being a child
Long summer nights
Muggy days spent at the beach
Chasing ice cream trucks down my street

It all seems so long ago
So many years have just flown by
I'm growing old before my time

The world moves to fast for my liking
I wish I were stuck on a Merry-Go-Round
Forced to see only when I am going and where I have been
Never able to go back
But to only know what has gone on in the past
Looking towards the future in hopes of a better life

Yeah Danielle the world is a turbulent place but the reflections like those in this poem have such a calming effect on the soul....nice write!

(big hugggssssssss) Oh Danielle, this is so very heartfelt, dearest friend, it all does feel like a carousel driving on the freeway, doesn't it? (sad sigh) Time does move quite fast but yet with following your heart you can make the future seem so much more clear, God Bless You, we all love you so much!
