~*Ode To A Paperclip*~

Oh paperclip, thou holdeth parchment fair
In gentle grip, lest roughness cause a tear
Sweet word and rhyme, held safely in thy care
Thine arms securely wrapped 'round treasures rare

Though, staples with their jagged teeth may scar
Thou doth not puncture, nor thine wards do mar
Thine champions doth travel from afar
To offer cherished wares and much dinar

For they doth worship thine protective charm
How thou doest keep all lambskin safe from harm
And ne'er shall cause good reason for alarm
Ill trepidation wholly thou disarm

Thus, I remain forever in thy debt
Oh paperclip, thine aid I shan't forget

~vlraynes

Anyone who can write and ode to a paperclip and do it in perfect sonnet form deserves to be immortalised in print.

You are most excellent at writing these Sonnets and this one is of no exception... Most excellent and cute too. I love the old world charm that this Sonnet denotes to a rather new world invention. Good job.
