At the edge of beauty lies a rose,
So simple and elegant,
Graced with a tang like no other.
Yet such an impending temptation
Rests between its folds.
Patiently waiting...
For one to satisfy its vexatious demands.
Alas ‘tis never ruffled nor fondled
‘Tis only gazed upon.

A wanderer chances upon such a wonder,
And is inspired to contemplate such a glorious being.
A rose so thankful for that wanderer for
Forever is the lonesome song of a rose instilled in time, only
To be heard by others and felt by many.

A simple rose,
So complex and nameless
Waits for the thorny barrier around
Its soul to wither and vanish.
So it may join the tears of the gods
In the velvet mesh above.
