Fragile glass, silver light, noises low,
The path of paradoxes before me,
Visions of the self is what is on show,
As I walk into eternity

I am here, I am there, I walk everywhere,
Seeing myself and other self reflected back,
I walked too far, now lost in the lair
Of creatures of myself, ready to attack.

I bow to the gladiator and pray before my god,
I scream at the father and run from the cop,
Down the silvery labyrinth, I plod,
Desperate to reach the enlightened top

Of the reality that is mine, yet nausea fills me,
My mind spins into a flash of memories,
The body of the gladiator, mind of the flea,
Form into my new and old destinies

My body rebels and I fall down,
My last sight is the keeper as he begins to talk,
“You have travelled far, but now you’ll drown,
For the bodies of others selves you should not stalk.

There is nothing I can do for you, you stared
Into the eyes of the mirror and what they hide,
Now they are you, you are them, one body shared,
And the multiplicity of pain is your bride.”

I scream and attempt to flee, but the memories remain,
This is my fate, sealed alone,
My skill pales and blood starts to rain,
As the name of my body is cast in stone…

Well this certainly packs a punch.
The contradiction of ones self .... battling the "others" .... anxiety!!!
~*sigh*~
OK, I can quit holding my breath now!
I enjoyed the pictures you etched, from beginning to end.
You've got my vote
