I move gently with the tide As it is guided by the moon Many lovers walk beside me Under love's spell they swoon My color sometimes varies From deep green to sapphire blue I'll cool you down in Summer As my waves envelop you Many vessels travel upon me Searching for a guiding light Whales call to one another Throughout the dead of night Dolphins swim inside me And the seabirds come to dine I am home to many creatures In the sunlight how I shine And when the day has ended After the sun has set on me I'll rest beneath the moonlight And stay as calm as I can be * * * * "I am in motion I am blue Love is an ocean I'm anchored in you." - Shawn Mullins |

Sue, I'll keep writing about my gardens if you'll continue to share your ocean with me! This is just beautiful and the picture is one I have not seen before. How I would love to snuggle under the blue of the sea. Hugs for peace, Marti Few are those who see with their own eyes and feel with their own hearts. A.Einstein |

I love the ocean, and now this poem. “We are all travelers in the wilderness of this world, and the best that we can find in our travels is an honest friend.” –Robert Louis Stevenson |

Suetang- I so love the ocean and your poem just made me want to be there. I suppose I am a sucker for poems involving nature. Now I can't wait to go to the beach. Thank you and I would love to see this one in the book. You have my vote - Thanx - Tim He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered. Sue: This brings the ocean to me and makes me miss it all the more! I haven't been to the Coast for almost two years and I'm really lonesome for it. Maybe next year! Lovely poem and picture. Betty Lou Hebert |

Well, living on the beach as I do, I often her the ocean talking to me and now I know who's voice it really is. Very nicely done and the cadence of this piece is as soothing as the tide in the early a.m. You most certainly have my vote. |

I like this one. Your surreal picture is also very beautiful. You've done well with a tight form of verse in this poem. 2+2=5 for sufficiently large values of 2 |
