A hush upon a Winters dawn
as silence deep and quiet still
invades the corners of the earth
and settles in the mind and heart
beating ever softly with
the gentle fall of snow
covering the winters chill
and branches bare of promised Springs
gentle song of births renewed
hope that ever sings the joy
found in the heart this quiet morn
of deepened silent snows remind
to still the thoughts and ponder thus
Gods ever present promised truth
in the still small voice of His
heard in silent Winters dawn.

A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails.

I think all that haiku has really given you tons of practice capturing nature and learning to make beautiful descriptions, because every time I read your work I can just feel the scene.  You've really got a rare talent for this kind of poetry, you know.  My vote is cast.

I'm not sure if I've had the opportunity to comment on this poem before, but I do love the flow... One can read your poem all the way through without need for pause.  It flows perfectly from beginning to end leaving so many subliminally soft images  behind on the mind to later ponder. God bless you my friend and hope to be reading your poem in the coming book.

I dont know which is more lovely..
the title, the poem, or your bright smile.
All of the above gave me a big smile and felt like a warm hug in winter.

I love the winter. And thus, end up reading most any poem mentioning winter.

Wish there was any hint of spring at all, though; I came home from California to the coldest week we've had in years. Brr.

Loved the poem.

Yes, my friend this is simply wonderful--It has my vote.  But tell me something am I the only one who percieves the form of a snow man hidden within the form of this Gem or what????
