~ I Wonder ~

Will you gaze upon my face
and remember
when the eternity embers
burned for us that night,
telescoping time,
and making Life rhyme.

And will we one day recall...
only a part, perhaps not all
of the knowledge so hard earned,
the lonely tears we cried
the hurt we hid inside
and the Karmic lessons learned
only to forget again, through foolish pride?

I wonder

WOW!!!
This poem spoke personally to me.... sometimes things are only too clear in retrospect... and you can only pray there is time to begin again, forgive, renew.

"telescoping time,
Making life rhyme"

I loved the view I got of this!
My vote is cast!

A most intriguing meditation and a most inspiring write. Though I do believe that love is eternal, I too often wonder how much or how little we will truly remember or how much memory will hold importance in the years to come... I think you've written another most fabulous anthology worthy poem here my friend. God Bless.

Of course I believe that everything you write is worthy of being in the book and this one is certainly no exception. My vote? Absolutely!

the lonely tears we cried
the hurt we hid inside

You omitted the line that tells us that the scars of the hurt sometimes  stay...and stay

Can I stuff the ballot box?? Vote..vote..vote.

Who you calling foolish? LOL This is a wonderful submission for the book and I am proud to cast a vote for sure on this one. I loved the rhyme and you dropped in some very effective alliterations as well.  Very nicely done.
