Ever Changing Love The dawn of love, so magical and new, Two bodies set aflame with burning kiss. Enchanted world, and only for the two, No other pair has ever loved like this. Young love, a wonder while its passions last, Must change its form if love's to long endure. Too soon the thrill of love, once new, is past. It should condense to essence now, more pure. At times love's embers start a blazing flame, Soon cooling down to just a lovely glow. No need for these to play a youthful game, Their dreams fulfilled as both of them now know. For though the young and foolish long for fire, The glowing embers, wiser hearts desire. Joyce Johnson |

(big hugggssssssss) I have never held loves hand, and may not know everything about love, but I too desire ever so much to just feel the embers for once as I too believe that is the way love should be and no matter what as the flame grows, the embers must never be extinguished! (sigh) This is lovely, sweet friend, you have my vote, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Joyce, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton "Underneath your clothes there's an endless story..." |

Joyce, this is so beautiful. I love it. It truly takes this for love to endure for years, I believe. "Love makes the world go around" |

Joyce.. not only is this so truly beautiful it made me sigh. I am not one for rhyming but when I read rhythm and rhyme as this I simply melt. I wish I could write like this. You have my vote. Maree |

Joyce Johnson, You write well of the "Eros". I wanted to pick a favorite line but, in examining this poem I would have had to copy each line for each is so well said and constructed. I hope this does go in the book. Certainly, a fan of his one! SimplyGold |

This poem is very wise. I think it is something for young people (myself included) to remember. I'll keep this in my library so I can remind myself of this from time to time. Thank you Joyce, you have my vote. Elizabeth It's not having what you want, it's wanting what you've got... |

Absolutely gorgeous,Joyce! But more than that,it is so eloquently wise. This,in my opinion is an instant classic, one that will stand the test of time in concordance with your subject matter. My definite vote and a "Keeper" for me. Nice poem again Joyce, I realized that the vote is automatic when you submit the reply. Just one of those days. Good luck with the book! mysticpoe |
