Scale of Time

Kissed by Elegance
she’d smile,
drawn by charisma
she’d dream.

Flurries of wonder
twinkled her senses
as fingers danced
through photographs.

Fountain of desires
brewed within her heart,
sweet realms of love
gifted to him.

Scale of time grasped
his hand in honor,
her threaded fears
sewn into war.

Cradle of tears cried,
cribs of letters sent.
Alone now knitting
Baby’s blanket.

Sometimes we have to follow a stronger voice, even if it's silent.

A telling reminder of the human drama of conflict.  You touch a most sensitive side, the sacrifices that must be made, if we are to live within the freedoms that we would claim.  They come at a very dear price.  Wonderful words my friend.  Well done.

(tears fall down my cheeks) Oh Ria, this is so very sad but true, dearest friend, I hate to see so many families suffering at this time and already hearing of a dozen or more casualties and how some must break the news to their families! (wipes tears) This is heartwrenchingly beautiful, sweet friend, you have my vote, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Ria, thank you for sharing!

May love and light awlays shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

I've read this several times
and will most likely be drawn
to it again ... it's quite touching. *s
