Bardic Magic

From birth their words beauteous
Melodious and strong
Creating sweet harmony
Expressing through song

Lyrical notes
From instruments chime
Weaving bard’s magic
Through rhythm and rhyme

The listeners taught
Without even knowing
As words fall like rain
Awareness is growing

Thus is the gift
Bequeathed by the bard
The magic that’s formed
By words from the heart

Your writing feather has cast with magic as well.  Very nicely touched.

I think that your poem would be a nice introduction to the anthology ... for I do believe that all of us poets play our own most unique music in our own special and quite curious way. A very nice poem.

Thank you all so much for your positive feedback on this peice. This has always been my personal favorite as I believe that poetry and music go hand in hand. If the lyrics or the poem are good enough, they teach us something as well. If we open our minds and hearts enough to hear the lesson that is. Okay, so I'm off to do some "learning" of my own around the posts. Thanks again.
