This is an oldie for me, but I think it is one of my better pieces. The Time Has Come As I sit here watching you sleep With a look so peaceful on your face My heart is filled with amazement As I look back at how we got to this place You say you’ll always love me And I can feel that when we touch It’s a promise that I’ve longed for One we both wanted so much So many miles between us Our hearts only moments apart This love we’ve found is meant to be We knew that from the start We were both once just a name Two lonely hearts behind a screen Two hearts that fate brought together ‘Cause we dared chase a dream Together we drank from cupid’s cup And tasted love so sweet Everything I have I give to you I’ve placed it at your feet For in my heart I know I’ve found A love we were meant to share And you were there all along Just waiting for me there So now I watch you sleeping And I wait for you to wake As I try to gather courage For this chance I am About to take The time has come for me to ask That you become my wife To wake with me each morning To share the rest of my life By: Jeffrey Carter |

it may be an oldie but it is a goodie. I'm glad there is still a place for romance in the world and I hope there's a place for romance in the book. Kethry Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind. Unknown |
