State of constant confusion!

0 posted 2003-03-14 02:08 PM

Reaching out from this lifeless state
going through  the motions of every day
life, though you are gone from my arms
I still hold you in my  mind. My dreams
are filled with the comforts you once
offered and it makes waking each morning
a horrible task.

I don't know what set this wheel in motion
this horrible injustice that has taken away
a love that could have given the most ardent
of loves a scare. I can't say what thoughts
you had that made you make the decisions
that you have and I suppose that really isn't
important now. What is important is the fact
that I just can't let you go. I can't get
your vision out of my mind.

Every avenue of my life was changed the day
I met you. You know, all my life I never
thought my dreams would come true, but they did,
I found my dreams in you. And then they were
shattered.

So, what do I do now? How do I go on without
you when it seems I have just now found you?
You are everything I have ever hoped for and
everything I'll ever need. Right by your side
is all I ever want to be.

I know no other way to express the pain I feel
than by saying this...

I love you and I shall always, and even if I
never get to feel your touch again I will
always hold you in my dreams.

(big hugggssssss) Oh Jeffrey, my heart goes out to you, dearest friend, I hope this heartache no longer exists in your heart as you are so deserving of true happiness and for flowers and bluebirds to sing over all your avenues of your dreams! (sad sigh) I send angel hugs your way, sweet friend, you have my vote, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Jeffrey, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Well that would sure be a letter I'd like to see delivered, and I would love to hide in the shadows to see her reaction.  Having said all this, I thought your free verse well done

You wrote so convincingly, that I could almost feel your pain as I read your words. When dreams are shattered, so too are other aspects of one's life. It takes strength and courage to integrate and redefine yourself.
The healing process appears to be under way with this real, raw, write.

Sending healing Light,

Hey,Jeffrey, this most certainly was written directly from your heart.I know this. When I first joined Passions back in July of 2000,I was a completely shattered soul. This site was such a blessing to me in so many ways,
although shortly after my first month, after selling, auctioning, and giving away almost everything I owned,I left Passions and my hometown of Reading,PA to live on the streets of NYC.This all had to do with losing the one who came deepest within my Heart and had shared times and love in ways I only dreamt about. It was betrayal, lies and absolute abandonment.I am doing better now, but I am totally in the same place that you are.I am still holding on to that Love that never ends.I was right in there...in your offering here.I only hope for better days for you...and,yes,myself.Voting for this,
my friend.

Peace,Geoffrey

I just wanted to say thank you all for all the warm replies. This poem was not written from personal experience, it is merely words that came to me one night. Although I have felt this pain, so , in a sense I suppose I did write it from my heart fron past experience. Anyway, thanks for all your support.

Jeff
