Walking through town wearing a coat
that should be arrested for indecent exposure,
I stumbled on the doubt that had lept
from my hand like a frightened mouse
Going down...swearing I would never go down again
   and I regain my composure
I tumbled through the memory
that had slept within my mind of my home,my house
Talking with "me",daring myself to be tested
   by my recent disclosure,
I mumbled 'bout the bout
that had kept me from myself by label:"Louse"
Knowing to be caring,to be a friend
through pain and sharing,I am sure,
I crumbled for my "sensory" seems inept,
the fire in my Heart I must douse

This work that I had written October 25,1994 was during a period
in which I was homeless. This is dedicated to those who are still
in that unfortunate state... who need our care and remembrance.

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Geoffrey, we are all so proud of you, sweet friend, and it is all because you love yourself and are giving to others that you have made it this far and I am blessed now you are back on your feet! (smiles) I agree, it is very hard to forgive because I have been there too, only at a different angel, when I was abused by kids in school. It hurt me deeply, yet I looked to God ad He has helped me always and now I realize they have only made me stronger and I wish them well too in hope they can recover from their inner angst! (sigh) You are a true herop, sweet friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Geoffrey, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

I wish everyone could say that being homeless was behind them.  You have my vote.

Ya know I thought I had read and voted for this. Was  this one of the poems that became lost in the system?

Anyway I love this poem, it tells me of your feelings during that particualr time our lives collided for a day or two. And from then on my heart silently held you close, hoping you were ok.

hugs Geoffrey

Maree.

Thank you all for revoting, and your compliments.

Hey,Maree!Sorry that I have been lax in writing to you.Yes,three of my original submissions were lost in the "Crash"! Namely;this one,"Sleep Under Willows",and,"Waning Moon".I'm glad that Ron got things fixed. What would we do without him?I am so thankful for your friendship these last 3 years,Maree.I can't imagine "Passions" or the world without you.
I felt that your support and prayers being sent from the other side of the world made me believe somehow that Love and kindness did exist. You are a special friend to me and truly you are never far from my thoughts.I only hope that perhaps through God's providence that one day we may meet.Until then,I am most certainly thankful for our contact through "Passions",my Dark Angel.

Peace,Geoffrey

Glad that you reposted this! It would have been a shame for it to have been forever lost in cyber space!

Another amazing poem.

Sometimes we have to follow a stronger voice, even if it's silent.

Thanks,Earth Angel,I'm glad that it didn't get lost as well.

Thank you,Spirit,for voting.

Thank you for reading,Suthern.

Thanks again,Lost Dreamer.

I wrote this during a time when I was very low and lost.I wrote this while I was sitting on a friend's porch, hoping that he would come home.I was living in various people's basements, the rescue mission, another shelter, one week in a seedy motel, etc.I was bouncing around so much, you would have thought that I was made out of rubber.
But the Heart can only take so many bounces until it brakes.Don't know if I ever will heal completely, but at least I have a regular roof and some good friends.Things are getting better.

Peace,Geoffrey

Me too!

God bless our soldiers, for it is now
a brand new beginning for those so long suppressed.
