Some voices (the WALLA WALLA BING BANG poem) Do not speak kind words to me or encourage climb to some level where I could not stand for long. Mostly fraud and afraid of heights, did I mention? Winters unforgiving ground is comfortable and I sleep well here, without the elegance of word or praise. Not all poets have something to say worth remembering past the moment. Some voices are better left to fade. |

(sigh) Oh Duncan, I agree with you, I too like to remain modest about that I write and my accomplishments as just the acknowledgement suits well for me in just reading the poem, though truly I must say you are a gifted writer and I truly admire how you express yourself! (big hugggsssss) God Bless You, sweet friend, this message rings so true therefore you have my proud vote, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Duncan, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton "Underneath your clothes there's an endless story..." |

I would never encourage you to climb any higher than you are now, for you already dangle so close to the top rung that you sometimes make me dizzy! |

That is exactly the way I feel and for hitting the nail on the head for a lot of us, I sincerely hope that this gets in Duncan. |

Lovely...and most of our poetry comes from the moment of the mundane..and like yours, turns out brilliantly! Ellie A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails. |

this is seriously breathtaking. and, i dont say that for that many poems. but the flow, and the breaks and pauses were inserted at the perfect positions.. and the diction and language and the feel and the mood of the poetry. it just goes hand in hand with each other to form a marvelous peice of work, wow. breathtaking, and thats in the least. |

Duncan...interesting thought on this one, although I truly feel all poets have something to say, some just haven't figured out a way to say it that it impacts the reader. Since you've had no problem impacting my thoughts with this one, the vote's cast |

Not all poets have something to say worth remembering past the moment. Some voices are better left to fade. You've been reading my contributions again, haven't you? LOL If, that is, mine even have a moment. *G* I liked this very much, Duncan!!! *S* Just make sure your voice isn't one of those fading ones. *S* |

Wisdom and wit and without a hint of pomposity. Through the use of thought, feeling, verse form and imagery of a simple, yet high order, you have created a singleness, yet richness of impact that is the mark of good poetry. I happily give it my vote. Patrick Talty |
