in the silence of aware upon the neck--antennae hair-- profound presence of a prayer... sends me greet-- oil poured, most savory, upon my unbecoming feet-- ~*~*~*~*~*~ weighted ankles dance the air. ~*~*~*~*~*~ Someone cares. actually, this one was written for/about all the good poet people here. The love in this place shines... truly the philosopher's stone. and that was the last book entry for me this round. (Hint: to a certain delightful 'nag'--nudge-wink) Just wanted to add a little hope and gratitude to me offerings. Thanks...geez...I swear I am a fountain of tears these days... |

Karen, I never did see this before. I love it and you have my vote, Lady..... . . . BTW, if I was as good a writer as you and some of the others here, I'd submit more poems to the book, too. I just don't know if I'll get one in, and if I submit more, I may not get any in the book at all. But, if I don't that'll be okay.... Hugs, Ethel [This message has been edited by garysgirl (02-21-2003 02:25 AM).] |

"Someone’s out there. Someone cares. Solace seeks me in the night yanking blanket of despair--" Excellent lines... It is certainly wonderful to know someone is praying for you. “We are all travelers in the wilderness of this world, and the best that we can find in our travels is an honest friend.” –Robert Louis Stevenson |

I love this one, but I actually like the bitter one that ends "someone could have prayed for YOU" better. Still, I am voting for this 'un. It touches the antennae just right. |

Man! Is this melancholy, or what!? A lingering sense of loneliness pervades this poem, lady. Very lovely, but very sad, too. |

Recently, just me recovering from double transplanted organs, alone, but yet knowing all would be all right because I had prayer holding me together.... Yes, I can definitely relate to this one and your poem and sentiments definitely get my most sincere vote. Prayers and God blesses. -Bob |

Well now Karen, I hope that was my prayer! Excellent write. Here's my vote. Hope this makes the book. If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again. |

I cannot tell you how much I adored this poem... it was as though I needed it, felt it in the air "someone prayed for me tonight" It is an incredible feeling that someone cares that much... and indeed we know... we just know. Well done. Sherry Cherish the good memories of the past and look forward to the adventure called Tomorrow. But above all... be kind to yourself today. |
