"And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." - REVELATION 21:4

Promises from Above

God promised that their would
Be no more pain
So all the people that suffer
From pain will one day
Be healed by GOD above

He promised he would clean
Up this earth
And GOD shall do this in
His own due time
It might not be this year
Or 10 years from now
But in his own due time

I like just knowing
That one day
All my illness will be taken away
And I will not say
"I am sick." anymore

One day this earth
Will be back the way it was
In Adam and Eve's day
But that will not happen
Until the devil is done
Away with

And in that day
All the promises
From above
Shall be fulfilled
By GOD above

Cold hands means a warm heart

Your best poem yet (that I have read, that is!) Thank you for those words of encouragement!

As you probably know, and it seems that I am not alone here in my liking, I do like your poems best about Promise. This poem, "Promises From Above" along with "Promises From God" are my favorites from you. Very uplifting poetry that  definitely gets my vote. God bless.

Glad I found this again -- read it once before, got called away before I could respond. You take on hard subjects, but hard subjects make for meaningful writing. Let's put this in the book, shall we?

Hi Julie,

I look forward to all of his promises as well and you did a awesome job conveying it in this beauty of a poem.

Good writing,Julie. This is especially meaningful to me.My mother passed away when I was 16.I received her "Living Bible" and used a flower from the funeral to mark that page in Revelation which has those words which filled me with promise.Thank you for sharing this.

Peace to you,Geoffrey

Julie, you sure have come a long way since you started in the forums and this poem is the proof of that pudding.  Nicely done!

Amen - I can't wait.  It's so nice to read about the anticipation of joining our father one day.  I really enjoyed this.. It is direct to the point and yet still flowing and beautiful.  I can sense the faith in your writing.  God bless you.  Voted also.
