A midnight chime in george's square,
crackling voices burst warm air,
telling me that I'm not there,
to watch soft eyes burn bright,

As moonlight filters pebbled ways,
and beckons sunrise to amaze,
I weep for those lost summer days,
and love's cascaded light.

A resolution for this year,
the only one you'll ever hear;
To love you, without end, or fear-
To hold you through this night
