I End Up Crying

The Christmas music is playing
Each time I walk into the store
I walk around trying to shop
The music is hard for me to ignore

The tears start to form in my eyes
As I think about the years before
I use to feel some excitement
But, I do not feel that way anymore

I manage to pick out some gifts
For each one of my family
It seems to be such a big chore
To wrap them all you see

I try so hard to make myself
Get in to the spirit of things
To join in the holiday spirit too
But instead, I end up crying

YOu know what my friend:
Who knows better how to take care of that little girl than Santa?...
Have you considered how you might look in red these days...
I can't think of a more deserving girl than the one the writes these gems. What gifts would appear under the tree for Sue?

I have an incredible amount of empathy for what you are going through, believe you me, my dear friend! Reading your words reminded me of my painful memories--but thankfully, they are only memories now. I got past those painful times and I am really enjoying my new life! I'll be here for you while you are experiencing these growing pains. Remember that pressure transforms a piece of coal into a shining diamond. Before you know it--you'll be sparkling!
