The well worn path, Familiar with my footprints My secret place to hide n seek An old gazebo adorned in a riot of wild roses The sweet fragrance fills my soul Peaceful; time is not cruel here. Yellow daffodils, violets, pink peonies, red rose Birds on a wire chatter their woes Restless.... seeking.... I wander aimlessly Overgrown path and untamed jungle Thorns and brambles Feral beasts lie in wait to devour Why do I always seek the perfect rose amongst the thistles? Poetry is: |

"I wander aimlessly Overgrown path and untamed jungle Thorns and brambles Feral beasts lie in wait to devour " Beautiful imagery CSKpoet, and a wonderful closing line to turn the tables on the beautiful visual you described. Well done! Best wishes, /Kit |

Yellow roses, silken poses..... thorns of the bramble meet. Once to sparkle in the gleam as two hearts trilling beat. Somehow, I think I just got stuck by a thorn...gotta watch out for those brambles and thorns.. Nice one Cher, saying a lot of life and living.... |
