The moon rises and so do I
Sleeping together, but yet alone.

The reach for comfort,
but no one is there.

Passion unbridled,
but denied.

A single kiss
and a lonely good night.

Lying awake
waiting for the dawn.

Hoping the hours move quickly
only to find only 5 minutes have passed.

Comfort to find,
to share for a few hours.

Happiness at last,
if only briefly felt.
