~ By Sue ~ My mind did wonder As I sat here in this house Of all that I love Which will be left here behind When it is spring once again It is way too cold To sit outside for awhile Like I use to do Listening to Gods creatures Who live down in the canyon By the time spring comes I will no longer be here To see even one As they come back to visit Like they always do each year The squirrels outside Will come out another time To play on the shed Each going from tree to tree Like they did the year before All my feathered friends Will be left here far behind To fiend for themselves Like they did before I came With no one here to feed them It does not seem fair All I have to leave behind This pleasure was mine If only I could take her To the place where I will be The flowers I planted Spending so many hours Getting them just right With so many bright colors I will have to leave here too But after I move A bigger better garden I will plant again With even brighter colors And some yellow roses too 12-8-02 |

That's the pioneer spirit! You will plant again and grow an evern bigger garden! You will be experiencing your own growing pains but you will become a proud and glorious sunflower in the process! ~ You really will get through this! hugs, Linda |

Sue, you brought a lump to my throat with this writing. This is so very special. It's so true that, even though we leave a place (or a life), things still continue on after we are gone, even though they may not understand why we are not there. Perhaps the squirrels may come up to the house looking for the small snack handouts we used to leave. The birds will sit on empty feeders, not understanding their emptiness. Wild life may miss the sound of the rocking chair creaking on the front porch. Life goes on... This poem of yours fills me with many sentimental feelings...the sign of a very well-written piece of work. I thank you.. |

Linda, thank you for your reply. Sometimes, I wonder, if I will get through this. I do all I can to hang on to hope and faith. Thank you dear friend for the hugs and encouragement. |

Balladeer, thank you so much for your very kind reply. It means more to me, than you know. To know that I wrote something you really like just makes me feel real good inside. Thank you for the smile. |

(sigh) Oh Sue, you will get through this, sweet friend, I just know you will and you will become the sunflower like Linda days! (kiss on cheek) God Bless You, sweet friend, the seasons are inevitable, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sue, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton "Underneath your clothes there's an endless story..." |
