Illustrious rivers, industrious roll to tempest tossed oceans whose mean undertow cuffs the inductee and roughly control tributaries who ferry the toll Rivers who rove, roam, ramble and traipse, that drag along streams from mountain landscapes and petty theft creeks as they larcen the lakes end confined to the brine, no escape Streams that rob rivulets, runnel and rill, cascading waterfalls over the hills, brooks bribing springs with the promise of thrills slither on to the salty swill Pounding downpours gorging oxbows and swamps, storm surged, encouraged as forges by trompes, submerging what's firm in riotous romp then converging more pious than pomp The oceans abound with the souvenirs of the notions of high grounded domineers whose devotions were found to be mutineers, sweet emotions we drown in your tears "Happy people have no history" - French Proverb |

I love the way this one pours itself downstream, definitely awash with excellent visuals and rhythm. |

"Rivers who rove, roam, ramble and traipse, that drag along streams from mountain landscapes and petty theft creeks as they larcen the lakes end confined to the brine, no escape" Excellent imagery, Richard ... the flow of this piece grabbed me and pulled me right along to the ocean's end. Wonderful alliteration in the opening line above as well. Much enjoyed. ![]() Best wishes, /Kit |
