It is finally Christmas day,
oh yes it’s certainly true
but inside there’s a part of me
that’s feeling a little bit blue.

On this special day I am holding
many precious memories dear
of the way you touched our lives
in that time that we had you here.

I stop and reflect for a moment
and I am held in simple thought,
with thanks for all of the lessons
that with care you so lovingly taught.

I won’t frown and be sad
because you’re not physically here
for within my heart you are with me
each and every day throughout the year.

Love You Dad.

ALways, those fleeting moments when we think of someone in a flash of memory during the holidays. I think they are closer to us than we realize.

This is my first year without my Dad as well, GS... It's very different, isn't it? They're not far from us, ya know... Hugs - and have a Merry Christmas...

Donna, this is such a sweet, loving poem to your Daddy.
I know that it must hurt really bad. I'm so blessed to still have both my parents. I can just imagine how lonesome I would be without them.

Dixie, I am sorry to learn of your father and pray for you both.
Ethel, it's not so much the hurt as it is the missing them that is hard.
