A journey so sought A road so long A step at a time Oh, this cruel cold The air is cold and wild And though the sun peeks through The warmth is banished The light is faded With just another step A step unto the doorstep A joyous shout from the heart I'm home, I'm home, miles. For Christmas, for joy For heartache or smiles With a gift of love I'm home, walked home miles. |
