Longing

With every sunset that goes by
My heart calls for you to be near
Sometimes I just break down and cry
Love and longing with every tear

It is hard to wait and be strong
I need your arms to hold me
I know it won’t be very long
I’ll be where I’m suppose to be

I love you and give you my hand
You’re my every dream come alive
With you next to me we can stand
You are my strength and my drive

Always I’ll cherish and love you
And to your soul I will be true

Hope time flies until you're in his arms. Beautiful poem.

The soul would have no rainbows, had the eyes no tears.

oooh i feel for you, i suppose we have to remember that its always worth the wait. i thought to myself yesterday, try and remember this feeling of complete contentment of being together , and remember how worth the endless waiting it is! but it's so hard, when someone is often so far away. i'm rambling. anyway, thankyou for the lovely write. enjoyed.
lots of love, gemma xxxxxxxxx

learning each day, for you and i, our paths have met, i've already learnt that you are love.

Thank you everyone for stopping to read.  I know this isn’t the best sonnet.  I haven’t written anything in a LONG times, not including a few random haikus. I was excited to get any thing out… so I thought I’d share.  I’m glad you took the time to stop in and leave such nice responses.

As for Dave…  I suppose honesty is the best policy.  He did not feel welcome here by some people, so he has moved on.  I wish he could have the same experience I have had here.  However, I do understand why he left and would have done the same thing if I was in his shoes.  I will tell him that you asked about him though

I hope everyone has very happy holidays! Stay safe.

Hugs,
Tara
