October breeze blows Smells of fresh popcorn Wafts into waiting noses Feeding the local park pigeons buttery kernels While sitting on an old park bench Momentary glance Fixes eyes entranced smiles spring Across our faces As a strange wind blows scaring birds far away As they fly away Either you or I moved But in a blink We sit together Snuggling under my umbrella Looking into each other's eyes Wordless sighs As red hearts rain into our souls time stands still. hmmm...if only. I loved the romance of this and yet it made me feel sad because it was a reminder of how alone I am... Susan C. |

Brad~First thank you! I have been more or less alone since "the divorce" last year, and the plain truth is I am scared to death! Yet I find myself yearning for something...the whole ying/yang thing I guess. Susan |
