GOD TOOK HER AWAY

Today I felt an empty pit inside
And I just cried and cried
I don't like it when that feeling comes
It often makes you feel really numb

My best friend left me today
Now there's no one who'll say those "it's going to be okay"'s
She won't ever come back
And I don't feel like facing up to the lonely facts

There's no one left to care
And nobody to go to when things get so unfair
And now when I just want to give up and yell
There's nobody left to pick me up where I fell

I wish she didn't go
But I guess God needed her so
Or He didn't see how much I needed her to be here
To cry and tell her all my fears

He left me here with nobody left to care
He just took her right then and there
I miss her so bad
God must not have realized that I would be so sad

As these tears run down my face
I want to be with her in that paradise of a place
I wish He didn't take her away
She was there for me every day

I love her so much
She was constantly there for me when I felt out of luck
She was an angel, more than any person could be
And I guess that's why God took her away from me
