I let the rain wash off my pain


Amidst an open space in the woods,
watched by friendly trees I stand in solitude,
I stretch out my arms towards the sky
and I let the rain wash off my pain.

Every single drop falling on my cheeks
Lovingly unites with one of my tears
Heaven’s touch of infinite tenderness
to set me free, to wash off my fears.

Mother Earth quietly calls my name
My feet sink into the soft wet soil.
The rain sings a message from Above,
in both directions I stretch my heart.

By the sacred water I am gently purified,
and I long to dance above the clouds,
I open my eyes to a sudden bright light,
the rain has changed into threads of gold.

Clinging to these magical Angel’s locks
I am lifted up to touch upon ethereal space
Free of pain, free of fear, my soul soars high
And I am ready for a glimpse of Paradise.

In total awe I behold Universe’s shore
with a pioneer’s passion I shall explore
the depth and the heights of All there is
thanks to the heavenly rain I am at peace.

This is stunningly beautiful! I'll set it aside in my library, to read each rainy day. But it's a great read on a sunny day too!
