Self Bondage I have my self tied before the sirens of dogma And weep for the longing and pain in my breast - A cur chained before raw meat - A stallion behind a mare in heat - But mostly an infant reaching for his mother. Promises of comfort and angels upon Self release and relinquishment of identity - Bowing my head and admitting dependancy; Yet is it not said only the hard way is true? Dante's descent to glorious ice often told, But even the poets are gripped by heavenly hold As well knows the guide who could not ascend. -majnu |
