MY FRIEND
(A Candy Heart Poem)

My friend
You are the sunshine of every day
And even yet
You cheer me up when it's cloudy

Dear friend
I'll be there to help you when you're feeling down
With you, my friend
We'll turn all our frowns upside-down

My friend
You shimmer in the garden of my heart
You are the diamond rose glistening in my flowerbed
Smiling like the brightest star

You are my dear friend
We will always be there for each other
As part of this bright earthly circle of friends
We will harmonize with love to one another
