I've decided not to die until pigs learn to fly, and that may take a while for I've helped birth and raise those little squealers, and never yet has one flown the coop...er the pig pen, alongside the golden hen or any other of God's creatures. They simply wallow in the mud then walk away from it, expecting someone else to clean up the mess. Sheesh! I'm tired of farming and composting the leftovers from critters that just don't seem to learn these truisms: "you reap what you sow" "you made your bed, now lie in it, wrinkles and all." I'm not going anywhere until I figure out how to teach pigs to fly. *** thank you poet pjtalty, for the idea |

I'm not likely to sprout wings any time soon either. You've got the spirit lady. |

Oh, this is simply marvelous!! Having spent most of my summers on my Uncle's farm, I know that it's going to take you forever to teach those pigs how to fly!!!! So, looks like you will be keeping us smiling for a long time to come!!! Loved this one! A truly happy person is one who |

You guys are so much fun to write for! Duncan, you are right! I forgot about Wilbur. Whois Wilbur, anyway? Dixie, Sue, thanks! We both know horses are more fun. Thanks for reading this one. Ray? I did see one of those Alyeska pipeline pigs, the ones that'fly' through the AK oil pipeline, presumably cleaning up sticky gunky deposits from the insides of the pipe. Only the tourists bother to marvel at those monstrosities. Hehe, I pretende to be a tourist one day, that's how I know what they look like. and Sunnyone? I've seen a pig swim, and jump over a very low fence, but never did one come close to getting airborne, except for "DUDE" the breeding boar who was pushed off the backend of the truck once. I thought I had seen one fly, like "greased lightning" ... ... I realized, it only slipped in the mud trying to get to the trough!! Nothing is worth taking laying down ... always good to see you standing tall. |
